This is a blog that my wife urged me to start. I hope this shows her a new side of me (another good side?).

Who defines objective truth, you may ask. Moreover, are we able to reason and discern things that are really true in the arena of ideas? Is this a noble venture? I suggest objective truth is quite self-evident to humans, much like most moral decisions are self-evident.
For example, If it is wrong to kill innocent life, where does one get this understanding? If one should not steal, how do they know? Oh, we evolved morality for society’s sake? Why would it be it that my instinct to help another in desperate and dangerous need is judged (somewhere within me—-by a real standard) to be better than my instinct to run, in self-preserving fear, for my own safety? I submit that this standard is an objective, intangible thing; only by being a human would I even know this thing exists. All humans know it. It could not, however, be known by simply observing human choices.
Objectively: 1) Yeshua of Nazareth (Jesus Christ) was a man who lived a life in history about 2000 years ago. 2) He was killed on a Roman cross and 3) buried in a well-known location. 4) Later, the (Roman) guarded tomb was found to be empty. I submit to you that the best explanation for all of this is described by the Bible. He was resurrected and lives today. This is an amazing and extraordinary thing if it really took place. I believe He will come back to judge the living and the dead.
Those are four simple, historical, and indisputable facts. It is also the Good News; that Death was ultimately vanquished, and you can share, too! Everyone is invited; but not all will come.
This blog pursues discovery of more objective truth, with lots of the Good News, too. IF that seems disagreeable with you, let me ask you a question: what good comes with ignoring opposing points of view, only listening to people that are agreeable to your preferences?
Fire will test a person’s integrity; what is pure (Truth) will remain.
Unless of course you don’t agree there is a Truth, and so you would believe that ‘a real Truth doesn’t exist.’ Is that a true statement?
Feel free to look on, comment, and otherwise share your thoughts and passions. Disagreement is encouraged. I sometimes miss what is clear and plain and I do try to learn from others viewpoints. Please at least try to keep it PG-13.
